We conclude our speaker series with a farewell and closing remarks presented by Megan Moon, President and Founder of the Humane Education Coalition and producer of the Humane Summit.
About our Speaker:
Megan Moon is the President and Founder of the Humane Education Coalition, producer of the Humane Summit, and host of the Connected Roots podcast. She has been a nonprofit leader and humane educator since 2005, working with several organizations across the United States. In addition to directing the Coalition, Megan is a skilled nonprofit consultant who invests in and supports organizations for improved strategy, stronger leadership, and capacity building. She received her Bachelor of Science in Humane Leadership from Duquesne University, is a Certified Humane Education Specialist (CHES) through the Academy of Prosocial Learning, is certified in Animal-Assisted Therapy through Oakland University, and is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Humane Education at Valparaiso University. Megan is a member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators and serves as a board member, advisor, educator, and committee member for several nonprofit organizations globally, including Voiceless, UnChained, Human Rights Educators USA, Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, Mini Acts for the Greater Good, Vegan Ladyboss, Gem City Kitties, and SARA Sanctuary. When she is not leading the Coalition, Megan spends her time on her yoga mat, making music with her husband, hiking with her rescue dog, Panda, and taste-testing new vegan recipes. Humane education is such a vital step in moving society towards an eco friendly environment and mindset versus ego.
