State of Humane Education in the United States
With the support of several partners, including the Institute for Human-Animal Connection at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work, we recently conducted a research study to assess the state of humane education in the United States. The study explored the state of knowledge and practice of humane education in PreK-12 schools.
Through an online survey completed by 829 formal educators, support staff, and administrators, a baseline understanding of the state of humane education in the 2018-2019 school year was created. The outcomes of the study are published in the International Journal of Humane Education. Click the button below to view and download the article.
