About our Guest:
Lisbet Chiriboga, Program Strategist for TeachKind, the humane education division at PETA, creates lessons and provides guidance to teachers around the world to help them integrate compassion for animals into their curriculum. She was a classroom teacher for 12 years and has received awards for her teaching such as being a semi-finalist in the New York City Teacher Excellence Awards - this was due in large part to her work in humane education. She serves on the Executive Board of the United Federation of Teachers – Humane Education Committee and has conducted teacher workshops on animal rights issues for 15 years.
